Christine Toh
Partner
Christine Toh is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in both the legal and accounting fields. She earned her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London (External) in 2012 and further completed her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2013. Following her legal education, she read in the prestigious Chambers of Vin & Isaac Lee, leading to her admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2014.
In addition to her legal qualifications, Christine holds a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Business System from Monash University. Her passion for finance and accounting led her to pursue the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams, which she successfully completed in 2006. Christine became a member of ACCA in 2009. Prior to her return home, Christine gained invaluable international experience working with BDO McCabe Lo Ltd (Hong Kong). During her tenure in the accounting profession, she played an active role in the internal and external auditing of companies listed on the Toronto, Hong Kong and Malaysia Stock Exchanges.

Christine's professional focus encompasses three primary areas: construction (adjudication, arbitration and litigation), debt recovery, and corporate disputes. Her extensive expertise in these domains has earned her a reputation for providing effective and strategic legal counsel to her clients.

Yap Sue Ee
Associate
Sue Ee has obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London (External) in 2015, followed by her completion of the Certificate in Legal Practice in 2017. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2018. To further develop her professional growth, she completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Veritas University College in 2023.

Sue Ee's professional journey has been marked by versatility and dynamism. Her pursuit of knowledge and ambition led her to temporarily step away from the legal practice in 2022 to join Public Investment Bank Berhad to the world of investment banking, with a specific focus on Debt Capital Markets. During this phase, she facilitated and guided numerous high net-worth corporate entities in the issuance of their Corporate Bonds / Sukuk programs.​

In 2023, she made the strategic decision to reintegrate into the legal field by joining Christine Toh & Co as a Legal Associate, leading the Real Estate team. She is also involved in advisory works in the Corporate and Commercial team. With her past working experience giving a unique blend of legal and financial market insights, Sue Ee has proven to be a valuable asset to the team.

Ryan Cheong
Associate
Ryan is a distinguished legal professional with an impressive academic background and extensive experience in various areas of law. He graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the prestigious University of Reading in the United Kingdom in 2018. He pursued his Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at City University, London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple) in 2019.​

Ryan's journey into the legal profession continued as he embarked on his pupilage at MahWengKwai & Associates, under the mentorship of Dato' Mah Weng Kwai. After his admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, Ryan continued his journey in legal practice as an associate in MahWengKwai & Associates.​

In 2023, Ryan took his legal expertise to Christine Toh & Co, where he currently practices law. This transition showcases his adaptability and commitment to expanding his legal horizons. Ryan is involved in a broad spectrum of legal matters including debt recovery and commercial and corporate litigation. However, his area of expertise remains construction disputes be it litigation, adjudication or arbitration. Ryan is heavily involved in cases involving the Housing Development Act 1966 where he represents housing developers. His diverse range of expertise allows him to offer comprehensive legal solutions to his clients.
